The Department of Mathematics & Statistics would like to welcome:
Hetal Kapadia, on Friday, January 30th at 12:30 pm in SCP 229
Title: Deligne Pairings, Discriminants, and Kahler Geometry
Abstract: Despite the title, this talk will be a highly accessible foray
into Differential and Algebraic Geometry. My goals are to broadly outline
some main concepts in Kahler Geometry, discuss a few interesting (solved)
problems, then highlight the unsolved problems they inspire.
Black cat cocktails will be served!
Please join us for a purrfect talk and our first ever “Friday the 13th”
Tail Wagging Competition after the talk!
