The Mathematics and Statistics department and Pi Mu Epsilon are hosting a seminar on student summer research.
Please join us next Wednesday (9/24) and learn about Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), programs that pay for you to do research over the summer. Two of our majors participated in REUs this summer, and will talk about their research and experience, as well as answer questions you may have about the application process.
The student speakers and their research topics are:
Jessica Perez: Modeling the Interaction Between Inflammatory and Cardiovascular Dynamics, North Carolina State University
Vincent Longo: The Abelian Sandpile Model, University of Hawai’i at Hilo
** TIME: September 24, WEDNESDAY, 11-11:50pm ROOM 229 **
Pizza and refreshments will be served. This talk will count towards the capstone seminar requirement.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
