Science requirement for mathematics and mathematics secondary education majors:
All students must take a lab course in biology, chemistry, or physics numbered 200 or above. Most students take BIO201, CHE201, or PHY201. Other options are PHY220 (requires PHY120) and PHY411 (requires MAT229). Students may not take PHY306 and may not take a course on methods of teaching for science correlate credit.
Statistics specialists must take a second biology, chemistry, or physics course numbered 200 or above. This course need not be a lab course but may not be PHY306 and may not be a methods of teaching course.
