On May 6th, at the department’s annual picnic, Dr. Sharon Navard, faculty, and Charles (Charlie) Ashton, Adjunct Faculty, were named Teachers
of the Year by the students of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. This award, which is given annually to one regular one adjunct faculty member, is “presented for excellence in teaching in the fields of mathematics and service in our community.”
