This program follows the American Statistical Association’s core guidelines for a minor in statistics, specifically courses in general statistical methodology, statistical modeling, and exposure to professional statistical software.
Students intending to take Independent Study or Independent Research courses should first seek permission from the Statistics Program Coordinator.
For the statistics minor, students must take five courses and achieve at least a 2.0 grade point average for all courses taken to fulfill the minor’s requirements. Students must earn a grade of C- or higher in all courses taken for the minor, except that a D or D+ is permitted in at most one course at the 300- or 400 level.
