Mathematical Sciences, BA

The BA in Mathematical Sciences is appropriate for students who are seeking extra space in their schedule for other activities at the college, such as a second major or study abroad. This degree allows students to take a wider variety of courses outside of mathematics and to have more opportunities for interdisciplinary studies. This degree may also be advantageous for transfer students seeking flexibility to meet their graduation timeline.

Requirements for the Mathematical Sciences (BA) major

The Undergraduate Bulletin contains the official list of major requirements. Students will meet all their requirements by completing the major requirements listed below and in the checklist, meeting the department’s retention and GPA requirements, and completing TCNJ’s College Core requirements. Below are additional program documents and other information about the specialization. Before choosing a particular degree path, students should consult with their academic advisor to discuss the best path for their individual needs and the consequences of their choice. For more information, please contact your advisor or the department chair.
