Congratulations to Dr. Jana Gevertz, who has recently received two new honors this year. First, she has been named treasurer of the Society for Mathematical Biology This organization was founded in 1973 to promote the development and dissemination of research and education at the interface between the mathematical and biological sciences. It does so through its meetings, awards, and publications. The Society serves a diverse community of researchers and educators in academia, in industry, and government agencies throughout the world.
Jana has also been named to the editorial board of the Wiley journal, Computational and Systems Oncology. This newly established publication was established to provide a platform for the dissemination of technologies and applications that allow the understanding of cancer from a ‘systems approach’.
