TCNJ’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics sent two teams to Kean University to compete
at the Garden State Undergraduate Math Competition on April 1. The competition consisted of
an individual component and a team component. Team scores are a combination of the two
components.
One of our teams, consisting of John Michael Figueroa, Cameron Phillips and Cody Pederson,
came in 2nd out of 23 registered teams across the state. Even more impressive, Cameron and
John Michael tied for the highest score on the individual component.
Congratulations to John Michael, Cameron and Cody, and to our other competitors, Diane
Tipton, Eddie Rohr and Catie Lillja!
